Charlie Picks Flowers…

As the title suggests, C came home in mid June with a wish to pick flowers.  He is the kind of kid who picks daisies in the park, then brings them home and floats them in glasses of water and gets upset then they wither.

DSC_0034 DSC_0037 DSC_0038I left him alone with a pair of scissors and this is what he chose:

  • Iris ‘Eye of the Tiger’
  • Anemone Coronaria ‘Bordeaux’
  • Verbena – Sorry, don’t know which variety
  • Aquilegia ‘Ruby Port’
  • Mathiasella Bupleuroides ‘Green Dream’
  • Lonicera (Honeysuckle) × heckrottii ‘Gold Flame’

He was so pleased with himself he asked me to take photos (sorry, quite bad ones!) and I promised to blog them, so there you go 🙂

  1. I think Charlie has very good taste! Lovely colours purples, pinks and greens together 🙂 reminds me of your colours you like Beth, his chooses are good 🙂 maybe he’ll have his own gardening blog one day?! Safxxx

    • Really? That’s interesting as it’s a standard plant for an old fashioned British country garden (my Gran and Mum etc would naturally have a honeysuckle climbing a wall somewhere). They smell amazing, so mine is above and around the bench in my veg patch so I can get the most out of the scent. Bethx
